Southern Comfort
Flying home, for me at least, means another 55 min plane ride to the south (of Manila). It’s been a must I travel the extra mile since my dad settled here and moved in with the docs (my brother and his wife) almost 11 years ago. The docs’ abode have been my home away from home and I am quite happy bunking in with them (with or sans the family). I love the open & one floor layout— everything is accessible + easy to re-arrange any time the mrs. feels like it, which is like almost every two months. Oh and when I am home, she also lets me play ID and I truly enjoy it (my creation above!). I also think the homey factor heightened when some of my mom’s things were imported from our old home.
This holiday season, even for just three days, the docs once again welcomed us with open arms…. It was such a short but sweet stay though, and we enjoyed every minute of it.. And as expected, mrs. doc didn’t fail in creating that holiday spirit— lovely Christmas decors were everywhere!
But one thing is clear: my love for Philippine Art did rub off ! And I am very happy they have now caught the bug of collecting:-) Now, instead of shopping for useless things, mrs doc and I search for beautiful art (paintings)…. here are what she acquired, so far…… nice huh?! Still growing, yipee!!

I am definitely lucky to have a comfortable place which I can call and claim (whether they like it or not—ha!) my home away from home:-) Till my next visit!
Find out (how, what and why) my 12 Days of Christmas means here. So far, here are the 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5, 6 ….
